Sanatorium for Children with Parents "Dachny" is situated in the picturesque countryside close to a pinewood between two Volyn cities (10 km from Lutsk and 4 km from Kivertsi).

The fact, that neural system diseases more often than other pathology provoke disabilities in children, determined the profile of our facility.

The sanatorium has 100 beds including 30 for children with parents. One can also find here children suffered from Chornobyl Disaster.

During the course of treatment in the sanatorium, every child is seen by a neurologist, a pediatrician, a Montessori-therapist, a rehabilitologist, a speech therapist, a psychologist, a hippotherapist (a specialist in a pony remedial riding), a music teacher, a masseur, a specialist in kinesiatrics, educators, and nurses.

The sanatorium specialists are doing their best to use all known methods of medical and social rehabilitation of invalid-children, besides they teach parents the main rehabilitation manipulations.

The sanatorium is a component part of the Volyn Regional Children's Territorial Medical Center, that makes possible usage of the medical and diagnostic potential of all specialized and paraclinical services of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.

Main working activities:

  1. Medical and social rehabilitation of children with abnormal physical and mental development.
  2. Psychological and logopedic help to children and families.
  3. Correction of motility and locomotor system disturbances.

There are following services at children's disposal:

  • Montessori-therapy and occupational therapy offices;
  • courses with a psychologist, a rehabilitologist, and a speech therapist;
  • athletic and exerciser rooms;
  • riding a pony;
  • sports-grounds;
  • music lessons.
