VRCTMC has been Awarded by the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine
for the Contribution into Chornobyl Disaster Consequences Elimination

During Diploma presentation

On December 27, 2007 Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Department of Population Protection from Chornobyl Catastrophe Consequences Mr. Y. Kobets presented Volyn Regional Children’s Territorial Medical Center Diploma awarding its contribution into organization of Chornobyl disaster consequences elimination. In such a way there were appreciated our efforts directed at rendering medical help to Volyn children suffered from Chornobyl catastrophe.

VRCTMC personnel continues activities to obtain charitable funds
for Volyn Regional Perinatal Center building continuation

Volyn Regional Perinatal Center model

On December 18, 2007 in the Peter and Paul Cathedral there was held a charitable concert of organ music. The concert was played by Yevheniya Lisitsyna (a laureate of international organist competitions, an organist of Dome Cathedral in Riga, Latvia) and was supported by Mykola Romanyuk (Head of Volyn Regional State Administration) and Borys Klymchuk (Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuanian Republic). Received funds in the amount of over 10000 hryvnyas were transferred to the Volyn Foundation “Saving Children’s Lives” account to continue building the Volyn Regional Perinatal Center.

On July 5, 2007 the Volyn Regional Children’s Territorial Medical Center was visited by Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko, "Ukraine-3000" Fund Supervisory Board Head, Wife of the President of Ukraine.

The honored guest visited the Neonatal Center of the Volyn Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital and became acquainted with the Anesthesiology Department for Sick and Premature Newborns.

Swedish Specialists Deliver Lectures to VRCTMC Doctors

On January 30-31, 2007 Volyn Regional Children’s Territorial Medical Center (VRCTMC) received guests from Sweden. Our physicians had a possibility to take part in the course of lectures “Classification and Treatment of Vascular Malformations and Tumors” as well as to get certificates.

Dr. Agneta Troilius (Assistant Clinical Professor, Laser and Vascular Lesion Section, Department of Dermatology, Malmo University Hospital) shared her tremendous experience in this field.

Eye Microsurgery Center has been Created

Opening of the Eye Microsurgery Center in the Volyn Regional Children's Territorial Medical Center

The Eye Microsurgery Center was created on December 19, 2005 in the Volyn Regional Children's Territorial Medical Center for delivering microsurgical help to patients with different kinds of cataracts: congenital, traumatic, secondary, age-specific; with glaucoma and vision organs traumas.

Realizing the state program “Children of Ukraine”, the Children’s Ophthalmology Department is provided with new diagnostic and treatment equipment for conducting up-to-date high-level cataract surgery.

of the "Hospital To Hospital" Program

Visit of the "Ukraine-3000" Fund representatives to the Volyn Regional Children's Territorial Medical Center

During September 5-30, 2005 Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko’s Fund “Ukraine-3000” held an open competition among children’s medical facilities of Ukraine to select participants of the “Hospital To Hospital” Program.

On October 24, 2005 in the Ukrainian House there was held a press-conference where there were named 22 Ukrainian children’s medical facilities which became the winners of the Program competition. Volyn Regional Children’s Territorial Medical Center is among them.
