In the department we use contemporary methods of diagnosing cardiovascular, neurological and pulmonological diseases in patients of all age categories:
- ultrasound examination of heart (echocardiography);
- electrocardiography (ECG) – synchronous twelve-channel recording;
- rheoencephalography;
- rheovasography;
- electroencephalography (EEG);
- echoencephalography;
- spirometry.
Ultrasound examination of a newborn’s heart allows recognizing:
- birth defects that contributes to disease timely correction and recovery of children;
- inflammatory diseases of heart;
- coronary heart disease and acquired heart defects in adults.
Rheoencephalography allows assessing the functional peculiarities of brain blood supply.
Electroencephalography of brain bioelectric potentials is conducted in cases of loss of consciousness, adjustment of anticonvulsant dosage, epilepsy, memory deterioration, dizziness.
Examination of respiration function with the help of new contemporary spirograph gives a possibility to determine the degree of ventilatory insufficiency, efficacy of bronchodilators.

In the Ophthalmology Department there is a physical therapy room where we conduct electrophoresis, electrostimulation and phototherapy in cases of eye diseases.
